UCC Medfield's Sunday School program is designed for children in preschool – 5th grade to grow in wisdom, faith and friendship. Grade-level classes are held during our Sunday morning worship service. The preschool class takes place for the entire service, while children in kindergarten – 5th grade join their families for part of the service and are invited to their Sunday School classes after the children's message. Parents pick their children up from their Sunday School classrooms directly after worship.
Preschool Class
The curriculum guide for our preschool students is Boz's Teach Me, Show Me, Grow Me. Through their trusted bear friend Boz, preschoolers will discover God, discover Jesus, and discover the Bible through Bible stories, crafts, activities and play!
Every week one of our preschool friends will take the "Boz bag" home for the week. Along with a soft and cuddly Boz stuffed animal, the bag contains prayers for bedtime and an assortment of Boz storybooks for families to enjoy together.
The preschool class is designed for children who have turned 3 by August 30th of the current year and who are not yet attending kindergarten.
Cherub Choir
Our preschoolers also participate in the Cherub Choir which includes our kindergarten and 1st grade friends as well. The Cherub Choir meets weekly during Sunday School class time to lift their praises to God in song. They sing several times a year in the worship service; as well as on Christmas Eve and Easter.

Orange's 252 Kids curriculum weaves small group discussions, videos, and creative activities together to reinforce one clear and simple bottom line each week so kids can walk away and remember what matters most. When the Pharisees asked Jesus in Mark 12, “You are a teacher with integrity, what do you think is the greatest commandment?” Jesus responded by quoting Moses, “The greatest commandment is to love the Lord your God with all of your mind, soul, and strength.” “Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.” John 10:10 reinforces this when Jesus clearly says, “I have come that you might have life and have it to the full.” So everything we teach comes back to these three relational motives: 1. Move kids to Love God by inciting wonder 2. Move kids to Love Others by fueling passion 3. Love Life by provoking discovery We believe when kids learn to love God, it will influence their future in a positive way. When kids love God, it leads to wiser choices. When kids love God, it leads to stronger relationships. When kids love God, it leads to a deeper faith. |

Sacrament Curriculum
Every other year, our fourth and fifth grade students learn about Sacrament of Baptism and the Sacrament of Communion. We believe the completion of this faith milestone curriculum class fully prepares our students to participate in Communion. Students are invited to participate in their first educated Communion on Maundy Thursday, the service that commemorates Jesus' last supper with His disciples.
