It is with great excitement that the Pastoral Search Team (PST) announces the addition of 5 new team members: Zach Barrows, Cathy Chung, Julie Maviglia, Dan Ott, and Alex vonBallmoos. Our Church Moderator, Steve Carlson, will be an ex-officio member. We want to thank all of you who volunteered for the PST. Many people expressed interest in joining the team, and there were simply not enough positions available to accommodate everyone.
The search process timeline is difficult to nail down with precision, but most experts would tell you that it is a six to twelve month process that in our case will start in early January 2021. We hope to have a Lead Pastor of Worship and Community Life to recommend to the congregation by August 2021. The pastor search process is God driven and the team will be praying continually and working hard to discern God’s will on this important hire for UCC Medfield. We ask the congregation to support us in this effort with your prayers. Please pray for each member of the PST. That they might clearly hear God’s voice of guidance and inspiration as we begin our weekly meetings.
