REV. DR. PHILIP J. BAUMAN, SENIOR PASTOR
Pastor Phil has been the Senior Pastor of UCC Medfield since 1996. He served as the pastor of the First Congregational Church (UCC) in Clinton, MA from 1981-1988, then attended Boston University where he received a Ph.D. in Pastoral Psychology in 1995. He has a passion for helping people to grow as disciples of Jesus and find their spiritual gifts so that they can then be equipped and sent into the world for ministry. Pastor Phil believes that worship is central to the spiritual formation of the congregation and all of its ministries and missions.
LIZ LISCIANDRA, DIRECTOR OF CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES
Liz joined the staff of UCC Medfield in May 2016 as the Director of Children’s Ministries, where she is responsible for implementing UCC’s Children’s Ministries program for kids from birth through fifth grade. She works closely with her dedicated team of teachers and parent volunteers to teach our children and their families about God’s great love for them. Liz earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary/Special Education from Providence College and her Master’s Degree in Education, Curriculum, and Instruction from Lesley University. Prior to joining the staff, Liz volunteered as a Sunday School teacher at UCC Medfield. She has also worked in educational technology and taught first and third grade.
JEAN MINEO, CHURCH MANAGER
Jean is the full time Manager of the church, providing administrative support for the leadership and ministries at UCC. Her responsibilities cover finance, facilities, and infrastructure along with overseeing the office – personnel, communications, program support, policies, and compliance. Her background is in managing non-profit arts organizations in the greater Boston area. She and her husband Lou Masella moved to Medfield with their two children in 2004, and have been members of UCC since 2009. When she’s not at the church, Jean can be found volunteering for the Straw Hat Park renovation, the Cultural Alliance of Medfield, Art in Public Places (a Medfield Foundation initiative), and as a resource member of the Medfield State Hospital Master Planning Committee.
CARRIE QUINLAN, COMMUNICATION COORDINATOR
Carrie has been the Communication Coordinator for the church since January 2016. In her role, she is responsible for putting together the weekly e-news newsletter and the upkeep of the church’s website and other social media outlets. Before having children, Carrie was a recruiter, specializing in the placement of finance and accounting professionals. She, her husband Mike, and 2 young daughters have called Medfield home since 2007. Carrie became a member of UCC in 2015, after being a regular attendee for 5 years. When not at church, Carrie can be found volunteering in the Medfield schools, knitting, and cooking, especially with her girls.
ARTURO RODRIGUEZ, DIRECTOR OF YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULT MINISTRIES
Arturo joined the UCC team in September 2017. He is an experienced Bible teacher, dedicated youth ministry director, and most recently a consultant specializing in non-profit program design and evaluation. At UCC, Arturo will focus on building relationships and designing programs that encourage young people to love God and serve people. He became an avid student of the Bible during undergraduate studies Azusa Pacific University, earning Bachelor of Arts degrees in Biblical Studies and Political Science. Arturo is among the founders of an internationally focused nonprofit organization that defends the rights and dignity of migrants. He is husband to a consistently amazing woman, Kirsten, and dad to two fascinating kids, Eliza and Dylan. Through all of that, he drinks coffee without ceasing.
HEIDI WILLSON, DIRECTOR OF WORSHIP ARTS
Heidi began her ministry at UCC Medfield in May 2005 as the Praise Music Leader. As the new Director of Worship Arts, she currently coordinates all facets of Sunday morning worship, including music, liturgy, drama and art, and provides worship music for FOY and SHF, the middle and high school ministries. Heidi’s musical background includes 21 years in the US Navy Music Program, where she performed as a singer, keyboardist, woodwind instrumentalist and ensemble leader in Navy Fleet bands throughout the United States and abroad. She earned her BA in Music from Rhode Island College, and is currently pursuing her postgraduate degree at Fuller Seminary. She gigs with big bands and jazz ensembles in Rhode Island, and recently had one of her original worship songs published. Heidi is passionate about helping people encounter God through music, and about exploring the many different ways in which we can worship and be in relationship with God. She loves making music with her husband Allan, and their three grown children, Ethan, Noah, and Elizabeth.
