pursuing God's vision for our church

We are ready to take this journey.
UCC Medfield is positioned to thrive into 2021 and beyond.

A year of strategic reflection led us to a clear and fresh purpose: UCC Medfield exists to Love Like Jesus. Our next task is to align our organizational structure to that purpose statement. A key element is transitioning from a Senior Pastor and Associate Pastor leadership model to a shared leadership model with two Lead Pastors. Both Lead Pastors will cast vision and direction across all ministry areas, while each Lead Pastor will be primarily responsible for two of our four ministry departments – one for Community Life and Worship and the other for Missions and Education.

Here is a snapshot of our leadership concept:

MEET UCC MEDFIELD

The last 12 months have offered our church a moment to gain clarity on who we are and who God is calling us to become. Our Board of Directors appointed a Strategic Planning Team to uncover where God is calling us and to create a roadmap that will get us there. This intense year of work led to a special congregational meeting in November 2020 wherein our church adopted a new Purpose Statement, a fresh Ministry Architecture, and an innovative Staffing Model.

God is calling UCC Medfield to love like Jesus under the shared leadership of  two Lead Pastors. On that foundation, we step into the future with hope and excitement!   Explore our full Church Profile.

MEET ARTURO

Three years ago, we packed our life into boxes, loaded our family into the car, and left Southern California to follow God's call to UCC Medfield. We found in Medfield many of the things we expected – rich history, changing seasons, excellent schools…and yet were surprised to also find a community of families doing life together - we fell in love with it.

My first two years at UCC Medfield were immersed in the amazing youth programs. As our church coalesced around a new ministry model centered around Worship, Education, Missions, and Community Life, my knack for storytelling, program design, and Biblical teaching made the perfect recipe to meet the pastoral demands of our Missions and Education ministries. I could not be more energized by this challenge!

I am equally excited to work with the person God is calling to be our Lead Pastor of Community Life and Worship. You have a seat at our table and we cannot wait to meet you!
