Blessing of the Backpacks
On the last Sunday in August, children are invited to bring their backpacks to church for a special blessing during the service as they prepare to head back to school.
Bible Presentations
To help nurture our children's relationship with Christ, we present gift Bibles to them in Kindergarten and again in fourth grade. Each child’s parents participate in this presentation, because we recognize the critical role parents play in their child's faith formation.
Heifer Sunday
God calls us to care for the earth and all of its people, animals and plants, so we spend a month learning about about Heifer International, a global nonprofit organization working to eradicate poverty and hunger in a sustainable way by supporting and investing alongside local farmers and their communities all over the world. At the end of the month, kids share what they've learned with the congregation on Heifer Sunday.

Christmas Play
In December, kids learn about the the birth of Jesus by bringing that story
to life through a performance.
First Communion
During Lent, 4th and 5th grade students participate in a four-week study of the Sacrament of Communion during their Sunday School class time. Upon completion, they will receive their first Communion during the Maundy Thursday service.

5th Grade Crossing Over Ceremony
As a congregation, we celebrate a special faith milestone for our 5th graders, as they cross over from Children's Ministries to Focus on Youth (FOY). This Crossing Over ceremony takes place during the worship service on the second Sunday of June.
