Senior High Fellowship

The Senior High Fellowship Program is held on Sundays from 6:30-8:00 PM, September through May. The goal of this ministry is to share Christianity in a relevant way in order for each young person to develop/continue to develop a personal faith, to grow in faith and to exercise their faith in their everyday lives (discipleship!). We strive to love kids unconditionally and to create a Christ-centered community for all participants that honors Christ, fosters Christian relationships, and supports biblical values. Materials used for study and discussions are biblically focused and touch on needs and issues relevant to youth. Leaders use a variety of games, communication styles, contemporary Christian music, retreats and events, personal reflection, interaction with scripture first hand, discussion techniques and their own creativity to capture and maintain the attention of teens and to communicate God’s truth to them. Pool parties are held periodically during the summer. All High School students are invited to attend.

Mission Work

Each year, for the past seven years, the Senior High Fellowship group has participated in a summer mission trip. This past July, 25 students and 4 adults partnered with YouthWorks!, a Christian youth ministry organization to repair homes and provide a Vacation Bible School for children in hurricane ravaged Houma, Lousiana (south and west of New Orleans in bayou country). These powerful, faith-shaping opportunities are a blessing for all involved. We are grateful for God's guidance and for the congregation's on-going support of these mission trips! On a monthly basis throughout the school year, Senior High students participate in local mission work through UCC Medfield’s Soup To Go ministry.

SUPER BOWL SUBS & YOUTH MISSION TRIP – what a great combination.  Order delicious homemade subs for your Super Bowl Party made by the Senior High youth. Proceeds will benefit the youth mission trip this summer. Order 6" subs for $6 apiece – "Pigskin", "Blitz" or "Personal Fowl".  See order forms in the narthex. Order by January 28th.

FOY RegistrationThe Focus on Youth (FOY)/8th Grade Confirmation program includes 6th, 7th and 8th graders who meet for worship, dinner, Christian Education and fellowship each Monday evening from 5:30-7:15pm. Two or three teachers work together to teach each grade level. The 6th and 7th graders use the Faith Alive curriculum; this curriculum is developmentally based and is designed for middle school students.
