The Children of War Center

This is my third and last attempt to post this blog. I have spent the last hour trying to post what I have written only to have it be lost. So I’m going to be very brief and hope that I can post it.

The trip has gone well so far. I had a moving day at the Children of War Center in Gulu. I spent most of the day with the counselor, Concy, who is doing an awesome job. There are 16 former child soldiers here almost all of which have wounds that haven't healed properly. I spent 1 1/2 hours with them and heard a few brief stories. The most striking feature is there eyes. They have no joy in them and as we talked it was clear that hope is in short supply. I anointed with oil and prayed with each one of them. They asked me if I would ask the church to pray for them. So I took a picture of each one and Concy wrote their names down so I can match the picture with the name. When I return I will make them available to the church for your prayers. I'm going to close before I lose this blog as well. Thanks for you prayers.
