The Children of War Center

This is my third and last attempt to post this blog. I have spent the last hour trying to post what I have written only to have it be lost. So I’m going to be very brief and hope that I can post it.

Almost There

I arrived at Entebbe last night around 10:00 p.m. after two good flights. On both legs the middle seat was empty so I had some space to stretch out. I arrived at my hotel in Kampala which is about an hours drive north around 11:30 p.m. This morning someone from World Vision is supposed to pick me up and we head back to Entebbe for the approximately one hour flight to Gulu. I should arrive there around noon where I will meet with the northern Ugandan World Vision staff and plan for the week.

By the way, all of the gifts for the children weighed a little over 80 lbs. The maximum weight British Air allows is 70 lbs. Fortunately, I discovered that if you have a missionary ticket, which I have, you are allowed three bags, so I divided up the gifts into two different bags and had no problem.

I have to run to catch my ride. Hopefully I will be able to blog tomorrow or the next day from Gulu. Thanks for your prayers.
