Children’s Ministry
Welcome to our Children's Ministry program at UCC Medfield. Our ministry program involves children in the nursery through fifth grade who have Christian education during the 9:30 Sunday morning worship or 11:00 praise worship service. The purpose of our children’s ministry program is to teach all our children about God’s great love for them. This great love is revealed over and over in the greatest book ever written…The Holy Bible.
FEBRUARY 2012 CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES NEWS AND NOTES
1. Many thanks to all our families for participating in our third annual All Church Service day called MP3----Serving to the tune of God's love. In total, 333 people participated with over 1100 hours served around Medfield and the Commonwealth. Look in the weekly bulletin and monthly Beacon newsletter for ongoing service opportunities.
2. Our February Children's Church service will be held this Sunday, February 5th in the Great Room at 9:30. All pre-k through 5th grade students are included in this worship service. Our pre-k class will be leading all of us in a action Bible rhyme they have been practicing in their Sunday School class. This service includes lively praise music, prayers and a short message.
3. We are holding two special Sunday School classes over the February vacation week. The first Sunday (2/19/12) will be a multi-age class in Fellowship Hall with a story and a craft. The second Sunday (2/26/12) will be a Lenten workshop (similiar in format to our Advent worskshop on Thanksgiving weekend) where children will have the option of visiting several different stations to make items to help them in their Lenten journey.
4. UCC Mothers of Young children---a weekly mohter's group/playgroup is forming and we would love to have you join us. Contact Pastor Karen for more information.
5. Take-home sorting bags for Cradles to Crayons are available from the shelves in the stairwell off the narthex. YOU CAN ALSO SIGN UP FOR OUR MONTHLY VOLUNTEER DATES IN THE BRIGHTON WAREHOUSE ON THE CLIPBOARDS IN THE NARTHEX. Upcoming dates include Friday, February 10th, Tuesday March 13th, Wednesday, April 11th and Friday, May 18th.
