Volunteers are needed for the UCC Medfield Volunteer Saturday at New Life Furniture Bank. Book Discussion “Who Stole My Church” Starting April 25 Is Full!

There’s been a lot of discussion about changes in our church and how to respond. Using this book as a framework, we’ll discuss some big questions: How do we face change when it threatens our comfort zone? Whose church is it? We’ll look back on UCC Medfield over the years and talk about what we miss and what’s gotten better. We’ll also have a chance to share our hopes for the future.
Pizza & Game Night 2nd Edition - Friday, April 27 from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

We will be preparing a hearty lunch in our kitchen at UCC, bringing it to Boston, and serving at the day center at the Woods Mullen shelter. The women at the Woods Mullen Shelter continue to love getting cards from UCC families! They are GREATLY encouraged by your words, and appreciate the cards as much as the time we spend with them serving meals at the shelter. Take a moment this week to write a card or two (during coffee hour or at home) and send a hopeful message to our friends at the shelter.
Senior High Fellowship Car Wash - April 28 from 12 pm - 3 pm
SHF is hosting a car wash to reach our $10,000 fundraising goal for Puerto Rico 2018 this summer! Come down behind town hall anytime between 12 pm - 3 pm. There will be lots of students to talk to about the trip or SHF while we get you a squeaky clean car!
Scholarship Deadline - Tuesday, May 1
Any students who is a member of UCC Medfield and is planning a career in either nursing or ministry may apply for the Robert and Joan Wood Scholarship. Please fill out an application and return to the Office by Tuesday, May 1.

Growing Young Together Listening Conversation for 30/40 Somethings - Sunday, May 6 from 10:45 am - 11:45 am
The Growing Young Together team would like to invite folks in their 30s and 40s to join us for a light brunch and discussion in the Parlor on Sunday, May 6 after the 9:30 am service. We want to hear what you love about UCC Medfield, what we could do in worship, or otherwise that would make your experience at UCC more meaningful, and ideas you have about how to connect young families with each other. We also want to hear about any hopes, fears, or frustration you may be feeling as we grow young together.
Children's programming and nursery care will be provided during this 1 hour meeting. Please RSVP so we can plan accordingly.

Save the Date -Vacation Bible Adventure 2018!
Monday, July 16 - Friday, July 20
All rising K- 5th grade students are invited to join us for the next Vacation Bible Adventure from 8:45 am – 12:15 pm. This year’s theme is “Shipwrecked Adventure” which includes amazing experiments, hilarious games, delicious snacks, surprising adventures and incredible music for just $35 per child. Operation Undie Drop
Every day we reach into a drawer full of fresh, clean underwear but for people experiencing homelessness, underwear is a luxury. Please consider donating a new pair of underwear (sizes S-XXL) in the bin located in the church Lobby. The items will be shared with the men and women of the Woods Mullen and Southampton Shelters.
Coffee Hour Teams Looking For Volunteers
You can make a big difference in others lives by hosting coffee hour. Fellowship with one another after the service on Sunday mornings deepens our relationships at UCC Medfield in a big way. Talking is easier when you are breaking bread (or cookies) together, and shows our interest and commitment to one another. You are invited to participate in this important ministry and become a coffee hour host after the 9:30 am or 11 am services. Some folks sign up for once a month and others do so less frequently. It is really easy, there are lots of people to show you the ropes, and you will get much more than you give! Contact Pastor Karen with questions. The Medfield Food Cupboard - April Update
This month the Medfield food cupboard is looking for juice (large and boxes), kid friendly cereal, cookies/crackers, peanut butter, jam/jelly, canned fruit, and spaghetti. Thanks to the community's generosity, they are currently fully stocked on soup. Please place your donations in the baskets located in the corner of the Lobby marked for the Food Cupboard. Next distribution dates are April 12 and 26. The Food Cupboard is always looking for volunteers to help sort and distribute the donations. Check out their website at www.medfieldfoodcupboard.org.
