September 7, 2008- Homecoming Sunday/First Day of Sunday School
October 19, 2008– 4th Grade Bible presentation
October 26, 2008– Living Gift Market for Heifer International This is one of the biggest events that Children’s Ministries undertakes during the course of the year. On October 26th, our fellowship hall is transformed into a Living Gift Market. Each Sunday School class has its own booth, which represents one type of animal a donation to Heifer International (HI) might help purchase. Don’t be surprised to see all our children with headdresses of chickens, ducks, goats, cows or pigs! HI uses our contributions to donate livestock animals to poor families around the world. HI animals offer these hungry families a way to feed themselves and become self-reliant. If you want to learn more about Heifer International, please visit their website at www.Heifer.org November 2, 2008-Christmas Play tryouts All Children’s Ministry students in the third through fifth grades are encouraged to tryout for a speaking role in the Christmas play or may participate in a non-speaking role or as a stage crew member. December 2008 - Christmas Gift Collection In conjunction with the Missions Team, our congregation is invited to share the blessings of the season with those in our surrounding community who are less fortunate. In the past, children and their families have supported a number of projects including the Christmas Shop from City Mission Society, Medway Family House Gift Tree and others. Please refer to the Beacon for specific programs for this year. December 14, 2008 - Christmas Play
