Welcome to the Children's Ministries program at UCC Medfield! Our program involves children from birth - age 3 in the nursery and children in preschool - fifth grade in Sunday School (Christian education) during the 9:30 worship service.
Sunday School (Preschool-5th Grade)
The purpose of our ministry is to teach our children about God's great love for them.
On a weekly basis, we strive to:
- create a safe and welcoming atmosphere where kids can learn all about God's amazing love for them;
- present God's story as told in the Bible in creative and memorable ways;
- provide opportunities for children to share God's love through service projects;
- support parents in the faith formation they are already doing in their homes;
.......all so that a lifelong relationship with Jesus can begin!
Children's Ministries Newsletter
Every Friday, a newsletter titled "This Week in Children's Ministries" is emailed to all our families--if you are not receiving this weekly update which includes the week's lesson focus, a faith-at-home prayer and important upcoming news and events, please contact Liz Lisciandra.
Once a month during our 9:30 service, all preschool through 5th grade students and their teachers attend a short children’s service, called Children’s Church in the Great Room before being dismissed to Sunday School. Led by Liz Lisciandra and Heidi Willson, children and their teachers sing lively praise songs, pray together and listen to a short message. Children’s Church is an interactive service in which children participate in many different ways, including leading prayers, reading Bible stories and performing skits.
