Welcome

The United Church of Christ in Medfield, rooted in the Trinitarian-Congregational tradition, is a discipleship church of 450 members from a wide variety of church backgrounds based on the model set forth by Michael Foss at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Burnsville, MN. We believe that we are called to be disciples of Jesus Christ in the world; that each person in the congregation is called and gifted to do ministry, and the clergy equip and train the laity to be the ministers of the church in their everyday world. As a means of becoming disciples and growing in our faith we believe in practicing the six marks of discipleship: daily prayer, weekly worship, daily Bible reading, serving at and beyond The United Church of Christ in Medfield, relating with others to encourage spiritual growth, and giving generously. Through the practice of these spiritual disciplines we believe that God will form us into a faithful and fruitful people, and that God’s love will spread and transform the world.

Vision Statement
Our vision is to be a disciple growing community, empowered by the Holy Spirit, reaching out into the world through loving service, inviting all to become passionate followers of Jesus Christ.

Mission Statement
As a congregation united by our belief in the triune God and the ministry of all believers, and centered upon the Word and sacraments, we will strive to:

Live our faith being disciples of Christ,

Express our faith through worship and music and by celebrating and supporting each other as a welcoming Christian family,

Grow in faith through a daily, life long commitment to prayer and to Christian education for children, youth, and adults,

Share our faith by helping to meet the spiritual and physical needs of our neighbors, both at home and abroad, and by helping to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ.
